My name is Gergely Buday and I am the owner of Buday R&D Ltd.
I have a degree in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Budapest. Later I did research in the field of functional programming and theorem proving as a graduate student. Since 2001 I worked at various companies, mostly in telecommunications.
Worked with several technologies I have founded this company in order to work with tools I believe in. Tools that are reliable. I have found that Unix is a solid tool to build applications upon. Maintaining a build engineering system on Solaris and administering the version control system showed me that ClearCase is a robust platform for build management. Perl is considered a scripting language, and one can really create obfuscated code, but when used in a disciplined manner it is a good tool for creating developer's infrastructure. Although functional programming is not widespread yet, I had the experience that it helps building reliable systems.
